Ready, Set… Now What?

You did it! You took the first steps and signed up for your first 5K, then another, and then a 10K, and before you know it, you’ve run more races than you can keep track of. You are officially hooked. You love the rush, the adrenaline of catching that person in front of you, the high you get when you cross that finish line, and now you have a t-shirt, medal and race bib to show your accomplishments. Your race bib, front and center on your fridge, and your first t-shirt you wear everywhere, but now you can’t even close your dresser drawer, so what do you do?
Instead of throwing your proud memories in a junk drawer or the trash, create something functional using these unique and crafty ideas:
1. Turn your race bibs, shirts and photos into a quilt to stay warm and cozy with your kids or loved one. Don’t forget to tell them the story behind each piece.
2. Turn your medals into coasters. If you don’t have anything interesting to talk about at your next gathering, we promise these will do the trick.
3. Take a walk down memory lane and dedicate a whole wall in your house to your race bib numbers.
4. Make your own recyclable bag out of your old race numbers or T-shirts and make a fashion statement all your own.
5. Take your photos, medals, and bibs and create a race memory book. Create more space in your place and take relief knowing all your memories are safe in a scrapbook.
