Roller Derby

Girls in Rollers
Tuesday, July 7, 2009

The Mission City Brawlin' Betties are getting ready to roll in a rink near you.  They're Santa Barbara's own Roller Derby team, made up of strong, independent roller girls like "Betty Crackher" and "Tarable."

Practicing every Saturday in an outdoor rink at the Earl Warren Showgrounds, the betties are tough as nails.  And they should be - Roller Derby is a full contact sport.

Can't beat 'em & scared to join 'em?  At least go watch 'em.  Their first game, against the Ventura County Derby Darlin's, is Saturday, July 18.
