Maybe as a kid you were king of your quadrant, but these days the rules of Foursquare have changed. Foursquare.com is an online, social networking site that collects and publishes information to all your friends about where you go and what you like (you "check in" to let them know).
Then, Foursquare archives that info, and the next time anyone in the SB area checks into the same place, they'll know what's good. If you visit an establishment more than anyone else on Foursquare, you become that establishment's mayor (...from king of the quadrant to mayor of your favorite places... not bad).
Santa Barbara is a playground, friends. Play Foursquare.
