In 1969, Santa Barbara experienced an oil spill off of our coast that threatened the environment so significantly, the modern environmental movement was born and continues to grow stronger all the time. So we're not gonna stand here doing nothing while the Gulf Coast endures one of the most catastrophic oil spills in history. We're gonna Stand in the Sand.
On Sunday, June 27, from 1-4pm, gather at West Beach and show your support to the people and industries suffering because of the BP oil spill in the Gulf Coast.
We're not gonna go up BP creek without a battle. Take a stand at West Beach.
