Who's Running Nothing says "freedom" like a good, long, 15-kilometer run. Right? On Sunday, July 4, at 8am, local runners (and walkers) will take off from San Marcos High (Turnpike and Hollister) for an out-and-back, semi-hilly loop around town. It's one of several athletic endeavors offered between June 29 - July 12 by the non-profit Semana Nautica Association, dedicated to promoting athletic and recreational activity in Santa Barbara.
So, even if the run isn't for you, maybe you'd like the swimming, fishing, water polo, volleyball, beach biathlon, cycling, sailing, lawn bowling, spearfishing, adaptive paddling, tennis, water polo, inline hockey, basketball, gymnastics, softball, semipro baseball, tug-of-war and the perennial favorite, the Krazy Kardboard Kayak Race?
You didn't think this was a lie-around-all-day summer, did you? ... It's Nautica.
